MEJ Trio  

MEJ Trio is a soulful, groovy trio formed in 2015, performing a smooth mix of jazz, soul, blues, and pop in their own laid-back style. With vocals and piano by Emilia Qvist, saxophone, and drums, the trio creates a rich, atmospheric sound that works beautifully for company events, weddings, 50th birthday parties, restaurant terraces, and intimate live settings. Active in both Finland and Denmark, MEJ Trio performs a vibrant mix of original music by Emilia Qvist, reimagined ABBA covers, and beloved jazz and blues tunes – always with their unique, expressive touch. Whether it's an evening concert or a summer terrace vibe, MEJ Trio brings warmth, musicality, and groove.

🎷 The Saxophonist – Jonne Granqvist

With a warm tone and smooth phrasing, MEJ Trio’s saxophonist Jonne Granqvist brings soul and melodic flair to every performance. His background in jazz adds depth and character to the trio’s sound.

🎹 The Pianist & Vocalist – Emilia Qvist

Emilia is a singer, pianist, and songwriter who performs both solo and with MEJ Trio. Her original songs are a central part of the trio’s repertoire, alongside expressive interpretations of classics. Emilia’s playing and vocals give the trio its emotional core – honest, heartfelt, and inviting.

🥁 The Drummer – Mackan Grönroos

Mackan Grönroos brings groove, sensitivity, and energy to the trio with his dynamic drumming. Whether using jazz brushes or deep soul beats, he supports the music with tasteful rhythms that elevate the trio’s overall sound.
